What is the purpose of offering a widget?
A crucial part of the educational portal is the so-called "Dashboard". All users receive an overview of their school affiliations and consequently a "Widget area". Each application for which the respective person has permission to use can offer a widget on the educational portal. This increases the visibility of the application, users find out at a glance where new information or events have taken place, and users can click directly from the widget into the application with one click.
The educational portal offers the following types of widgets:
HTML-Widget Display of arbitrary HTML code, but this is filtered for security reasons. Currently allowed HTML elements are: div, p, a, ul, ol, li, style, span, strong, i, u, b and br |

Buttonlist-Widget Display of a button list. Maximum 5 buttons are displayed in the widget. If the list gets longer, the entries are automatically shortened to 4 elements and a "Show all" button is displayed. This shows a complete list in a modal dialog. |

Iconlist-Widget Display of a list with icons or images. Maximum 5 entries are displayed in the widget. If the list gets longer, the entries are automatically shortened to 4 elements and a "Show all" button is displayed. This shows a complete list in a modal dialog. |

Badgelist-Widget Display of a list with badges. Maximum 5 entries are displayed in the widget. If the list gets longer, the entries are automatically shortened to 4 elements and a "Show all" button is displayed. This shows a complete list in a modal dialog. |

Detaillist-Widget Display of a list with additional texts. Maximum 4 entries are displayed in the widget. If the list gets longer, the entries are automatically shortened to 3 elements and a "Show all" button is displayed. This shows a complete list in a modal dialog. |
