How to use RSS feeds to automatically fill your news section

If you have a website on which you publish news regularly, you can use RSS to automatically display your news in the education portal.

Most content management systems like Wordpress or Joomla offer RSS feeds to allow users to keep track of updates to the site. You can use these RSS feeds also to display the news of your website in the education portal. The RSS URL of your website is usurally the URL to the news section of your website with /feed (Wordpress) or ?format=feed&type=rss (Joomla) added at the end of the URL.

To add the RSS feed to the education portal, click the Manage RSS feeds link in the News section.

Click Add.

Enter the URL of the RSS feed and click Save changes.

The latest news items are displayed on the dashboard of the education portal.
The name is automatically filled in with the name of your website. You can edit the RSS feed URL by clicking the edit icon or hide the news items from the Dashboard by clicking the eye icon.
